Michael Carmody

Michael brings over a decade of specialized experience in camp-focused graphic design and summer camp program development.

After earning his doctoral degree in clinical psychology, Michael shifted his focus on summer camps, where he excelled in roles that combined his creative and strategic skills. As the Director of Camp Experience and Community Engagement at Rally Camps, Michael was instrumental in creating custom curricula and leading sales and marketing for their Major League Baseball partner camps (San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres Baseball Camps).

Subsequently, as the Director of Auxiliary Programs at Fort Worth Country Day from 2018 to 2024, Michael orchestrated a complete overhaul and rebranding of FWCD’s summer camp programs. This initiative led to the launch of Fort Wonder Summer Camps and Falcon Sports Camps, under which annual gross revenues tripled and the camps achieved a Net Promoter Score of +94, establishing Fort Wonder as the premier day camp in the Dallas/Fort Worth region.

In 2023, Michael's contributions to the field were recognized with the Excellence in Auxiliary Award from SPARC (the Summer Programs and Auxiliary Revenue Collaborative). The following year, he founded Make It Campy, LLC, channeling his expertise into brand identity development and consultation services for summer camps and independent schools, elevating their visual presence and operational success.
